Ornithology is based around the chypre, a classical perfume structure typically characterized by a citrus opening, resinous floral heart, and mossy drydown.

In Ornithology, light and bright linden blossom takes over most of the citrus role, balanced by green and fruity violet leaf. But rose is the star, flying with intoxicating frangipani and cypress wood -- held together by a drop of styrax, the animalic liquid amber of the sweetgum tree. Oakmoss runs through the entire composition, eventually giving way to a soft white musk.

Wear it in June when the lindens start blooming. Wear it again on a fall hike through the woods. Wear it deep into winter to lift your spirits. Discover how it changes with you, from one season to the next.
