Conversation Heart

Warm, rich, sweet, and luxurious.

Conversation Heart is a Valentine's-inspired fragrance, created for a scent gallery installation as part of St. Paul venue PAIKKA's inaugural Creative Cohort. 

Conversation Heart opens with a very chocolatey orange, with nuances of neroli and petitgrain. A heart of rose de mai (Rosa centifolia) emerges in a bed of exaltolide, a sensual skin-like musk. Running through this composition is the sweetness and tang of vanilla beans, and the soft, creamy elegance of sandalwood. 

Made with Calabrian bitter orange oil, Ghanaian cocoa absolute, Madagascar vanilla absolute, and Mysore sandalwood oil, among other beautiful things. Creating this formula gave me an excuse to use some of my most precious and expensive materials. In particular I had been staring down the cocoa absolute and sandalwood oil for a while, waiting for the perfect reason to use them. 

This is it. This is the perfect reason. And you get to indulge in it.
